About the Press
Aloka Publications is an independent academic press based in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), Maharashtra, India. We publish peer-reviewed books in pharmacy and the pharmaceutical sciences, medicine and the allied health professions, and the wider fields of science, technology and engineering.
What we publish
- Textbooks and practical handbooks for undergraduate and postgraduate courses, written to the current syllabus of the Pharmacy Council of India and other regulators;
- Monographs presenting focused research on a single topic;
- Edited volumes that bring together chapters by specialists around one theme;
- Reference works such as laboratory manuals and practice guides;
- Conference abstract books and proceedings with an ISBN, in partnership with universities and professional bodies.
We also publish the International Journal of Drug Discovery and Pharmaceutical Innovation (IJDDPI), a peer-reviewed, open-access journal.
Our standards
- Peer review: every proposal is screened by an editor and every manuscript is reviewed by independent subject experts. See our Peer Review Policy.
- Ethics: we follow the guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and check manuscripts for originality. See Publication Ethics.
- No charges to authors: we pay all costs of publication. Authors are paid royalties under a written agreement. See For Authors.
- Professional production: copy-editing, typesetting and cover design by our editorial team, an ISBN for every edition, and a permanent catalogue page with a free sample.
For readers
Our books are sold as eBooks and paperbacks directly on this website, with secure payment through Razorpay. eBooks are read online on any device, or in our Aloka Reader app for Android. Libraries and institutions can order directly; write to us for an invoice.
